This is a story of a family of six from Heavener, Oklahoma who are chosen to be the first full family in space.
The story begins in 1992 with each family member going about enjoying their lives and doing what each of them likes to do. None of them are expecting the surprises ahead of them partially thanks to an idea submitted by the eldest son and his father to the Universal Space Agency.
They, like anyone who might end up in a similar situation, could not expect the twists and turns waiting ahead of them.

This website will also contain within it information of the subsequent books I write. The information will be added after the publication of each book. Some questions will be answered, but as with some novels, more questions can arise. The reason I have added this is because I decide to continue writing about this family. Book number two is being edited and book number three is being written. Information in this paragraph will change as my writing progresses.

UPDATE (7 June 2022):
As I stated is the previous paragraph, I am continuing the story line of the MacMuchaids and those they meet in this period of time. I also stated I completed book 2. As of this date I have completed book 3 and am past chapter 5 of book 4. In book 3 I tried to answer questions which arose in books 1 and 2. This series will continue, but as the family finds out some things they hoped had stopped at the end of the 99 year war are still present in the time they are now living in. Some of these things are hiding in the shadows sort of like they do in our present. They, their relatives, and their new friends try to find ways to bring a peace to this time so that the mistakes of the past won't be repeated. I will attempt to have these newer books published at regular intervals, but as anyone has published books knows, this type of plan doesn't always goes as planned or hoped.

Update (2 October 2022)
As some of those who love Gene Roddenberry's "Star Trek" will notice, this story falls into some of the time line for that story-line but things are different. As much as I have enjoy what he created, my wife and I didn't want to have things copying his work or that of other stories of the future whether they were novels, television shows or movies. We didn't want a future earth like depicted in H.G. Wells "The Time Machine". We chose a time-line somewhere in-between many of those stories. With everything which happened on earth after the MacMurchaid family went into their pseudo-death hibernation chambers, the human population were able to make the advances as in some stories nor the they take a downward spiral to a primitive state. Our version was meant to show that the human race was still trying to advance forward despite the difficulties of a long war and natural disasters. They have yet to advance enough to have developed anything like warp drive could have caught the attention of other beings in the universe. Even though there have been advances in technology and most everyone getting along, they still are faced with problems which can at times mirror what we are going through in our present. I don't want to reveal what I have written so far in the sequels of this first book, but needless to say there will be things which can be compared to things happening in our recent past and now. This website will explain many things as each book is released. I have already begun writing those explanations so when each book comes out there will be a way for people to understand items not fully covered in each book. It isn't easy to not go ahead and share now, but I don't want to reveal these explanations ahead of time and spoil any expectations for the future books. I can say that you will be able to see the MacMurchaid family grow in experiences, the children grow up, and the meeting of more friends and relatives along the way. In June I mentioned that I was on book five about a sixth of the way through it. I am presently over half way through writing book six, but I am taking a slight break for the following reasons : 1) yes, I do occasionally get writer's block ; 2) this time of year is special for me because it is the time of year when Denise and I met at NSU [Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma] ; 3) this is also Denise's birth month ; and 4) I am involved in a number of activities with the Carnie Welch American Legion Post 27 and their Auxiliary here in Sallisaw and the surrounding areas to help veterans and the communities. As soon as I know when book two will be published and released, I will let everyone know and shortly thereafter I will be adding information concerning things within that book on this website. I have already made some updates here to help all readers understand things more.

A Tour in Space Goes Awry
Since book number two has finally been published, I can now add information about it beyond what is on the back cover of the paperback book.
Since the MacMurchaids have accepted period that they have wakened in as now their time and future to come, they begin by helping others in this of human existence through what they have available within Valhalla and knowledge they have at their disposal of their former home planet, Mother Earth. They begin by using what they learned over the four hundred fifty-five years of hibernation and within Odin's vast memory system. In this time period some plants and animals which are going extinct or already have gone extinct. So they provide some if what is in their lunar home to begin with and follow up with locations which once existed as storage banks to replenish Mother Earth after an apocalypse.
After doing this, they are taken to a trans-orbital observatory vessel known as the Trans Mars Observatory (TMO) for a tour which was promised by a descendant of Robert's brother who lives in this day and works on the vessel. Its trajectory keeps it in a continuous orbit around earth and Mars thanks to gravity assistance from each planet plus minor use of the onboard thrusters. Since many of the observatories on earth were destroyed, this vessel has supplied the people within in the solar system with the knowledge of the universe they have been able to acquire.
Not long after arriving on the vessel, things begin to happen. Some of them seem to have explanation while others raise even more questions. The first of many is the surprise gravity assist from Lunar Sister by her increased gravity which for some unknown reason the crew of the vessel have no knowledge of the moon's increase in gravity. This being the first time since the vessel has been in use that it has traveled near enough to the moon to be affected by its gravity, this creates an increase in the vessel's speed and changes its trajectory. Unfortunately, the vessel has limited fuel and for some reason a main drive thruster was tagged out but not repaired. Are all the incidents they and the vessel’s crew are experiencing on the observatory mere coincidences or is there more to these happenings than meets the eye? Could this be an accidental oversight or was this planned by someone the family knows nothing about?
No matter what the reasons are, the MacMurchaids have a mystery to solve and hopefully do so before people are injured or die. Since they were all raised to help others and respect life, they are going to push themselves to do so and will discover surprises which will reveal new talents they didn’t know that they possessed. Some of their surprises appear to be related to their extended time in hibernation under Loki's Breath and possible changes to their physical well being. The family is eager to learn from all this and are hoping for everyone to survive. If they cannot solve this complex puzzle of incidents, they wonder if their lives in this new era will be short lived.
